I am a newbie at blogging. I have been encouraged to get myself set up to share my thoughts, writing interests,and musings with my fellow writers. This weekend I will be attending a writers' conference in Houma, LA. The keynote speaker is Rick Bragg. I am excited about meeting and hearing him speak. I have just read All Over But the Shouting. Since I am in the process of writing a memoir, mainly for my children, this book gave me insights into how a well-written memoir looks and reads. Being a late-comer to the writing scene, I feel a certain urgency in getting my thought written down.
